Biographical

John Patty is a formal political theorist whose research focuses on political institutions. He regularly teaches undergraduate courses on Congress and the federal bureaucracy as well as graduate courses on game theory and formal models of political institutions. He is an Associate Editor of the American Journal of Political Science, as well as serving on the editorial boards of Political Analysis and the Journal of Theoretical Politics.  His work has been published in American Journal of Political Science, Economics & Politics, Electoral Studies, Games & Economic Behavior, Journal of Politics, Journal of Theoretical Politics, Mathematical & Computer Modelling, Politics, Philosophy, & Economics, Public Choice, Quarterly Journal of Political Science, and Social Choice & Welfare.
