This course serves as a field seminar for the international political economy (IPE) sub-field of International Relations. We cover the theories and approaches central to understanding both foundational and cutting-edge research in IPE, with a focus on the sort of work that is being published in top journals. We will cover topics such as the politics of international trade, monetary policy, and international investment.
