Their book "Above Politics: Bureaucratic Discretion and Credible Commitment" is the winner of APSA's 2017 Gladys Kammerer Award for US National Public Policy and also will receive the 2017 Charles H. Levine Prize of the International Political Science Association for the best book on comparative administration and public policy. This book previously won the 2016 Best Book Award for the American Society of Public Administration's Section on Public Administration Research.
