This is my last newsletter as Director of Graduate Studies as Taylor Carlson will be taking over this role. I will take the chance to provide a few updates on our graduate program.

 

First, we had a successful year for academic job placements. Of our four students on the academic market, Taylor Damann accepted a tenure track position at Rice University, Gechun Lin accepted a tenure track position at Texas A&M, Dahjin Kim accepted a tenure track position at Notre Dame, and Annamaria Prati accepted a postdoctoral fellowship at NYU. Congratulations to these students!

 

Second, we are welcoming a new cohort of five students. This smaller size reflects budget uncertainties but we are very excited about the students we recruited and grateful to Arts and Sciences and the Office of Graduate Studies for helping us make this happen.
