Assistant Professor of Political Science and Weidenbaum Center Resident Fellow, Michael Olson, has received the Emerging Scholar Award from the State Politics and Policy section of the American Political Science Association. This prestigious award is given to a top scholar in the field of State Politics and Policy who is within 10 years of earning a PhD. Previous Emerging Scholar Award winners include multiple current PoliSci faculty, including department chair Betsy Sinclair (Elections, Public Opinion, and Voting Behavior & Political Methodology), Assistant Professor and Weidenbaum Center Resident Fellow Jaclyn Kaslovsky (Legislative Studies), and Professor Jacob Montgomery (Political Methodology). Michael will be recognized for his achievement at an American Political Science Association Conference later this year.
