Assistant Professor of Political Science, Michael Strawbridge, was recently invited by the London School of Economics (LSE) to write an article for their US Politics blog. The article, titled, "Black political socialization is a powerful and continually changing influence in American politics," is an expansion of his research into Black political socialization. His research was previously highlighted and discussed in his article for the journal, Politics, Groups, and Identities published in May.
In the article for LSE, Strawbridge argues that Black political socialization has retained its influence from Black churches, media, and interest organizations, and adapted to the times by expanding into digital spaces, such as Black Twitter. You can read the full article on LSE's US Politics blog.
