Professor David Carter and Ph.D. student Luwei Ying have published a paper, "The Gravity of Transnational Terrorism", in the Journal of Conflict Resolution. The paper uses a structural model of transnational flows developed in trade economics to overturn several pieces of conventional wisdom about the sources of transnational terrorist attacks.
