Irene Gerrish
Third Year Graduate Student

Irene is a Ph.D. student specializing in racial and ethnic politics and political psychology. Her research examines the intersection of Black political attitudes and whites' racial attitudes, with a particular focus on perceptions of whites' racial progressivism and racialized behaviors. Her dissertation aims to redefine how we understand progressive racial attitudes and their interpersonal and political implications, particularly for Black Americans. Her work combines survey experiments and mixed-method approaches to contribute to scholarship and policy discussions on race and representation.
