Democracy and Inequality in an Age of Globalization

This is a course on comparative political economy that explores whether open, liberal democratic societies can provide relative economic equality while at the same time guaranteeing untrammeled flows of goods and services across borders. The course is based on close reading of recent research in economics and political science. Note: This course counts towards the undergraduate Comparative Politics subfield.
