Juan Dodyk is a political economist working on climate policy and lobbying. His research studies how policymakers strategically design climate policies to overcome opposition from carbon-intensive industries, how interest groups use tactical coalitions to increase their effectiveness in informational lobbying, and how family firms build political power in developing countries. His work integrates formal modeling, original data collection, and causal inference to advance our understanding of these issues.
He is currently a PhD candidate in Government at Harvard University.
