Professor Qiu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at Washington University in St. Louis. She received her Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Rochester in 2021. She is broadly interested in formal political theory and conflict, with a special interest in international dimensions of civil wars. Her current research focuses on rebel strategies, state support for insurgent groups, and state formation.
