Public Policy Analysis, Assessment and Practical Wisdom

This course teaches students how to provide good advice to decision-makers about matters of public importance. To that end, our focus will be on identifying policy problems, identifying potential solutions, navigating trade-offs between different policy goals, and evaluating the effectiveness of existing policies. This course assumes knowledge of quantitative methods equivalent to that acquired by taking Pol Sci 363. Note: This course counts towards the undergraduate Political Methodology subfield.
